Privacy Policy

NetworkNerd is a privacy first app, meaning that you can access all of your data anytime, regardless of subscription level, and we never sell your data to anyone. Our policy is to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect from you through our app.

We only ask for personal information when we truly need it to provide a service to you: your name and email address, the contacts and facts you save, your subscription status, and usage and crash data that helps us improve the app. If you connect your Google account, we also read your Google contacts and calendar to import the people you meet. We collect it by fair and lawful means, with your knowledge and consent, and for the explicit purpose of helping you grow your relationships.

We share data only with the service providers that run NetworkNerd for us: Google Firebase (hosting, database, sign-in, notifications, analytics, crash reports), Mixpanel (analytics), Apple (payments, sign-in, speech recognition), and OpenAI (voice facts). We don't share personally identifying information publicly or with anyone else, except when required to by law.

When you use voice facts, the text you dictate or type is sent to OpenAI to turn it into separate facts. OpenAI does not use it to train its models. On iOS 26 and later, speech recognition runs on your device. On earlier versions, Apple converts your audio to text.

If you connect an AI assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT to your account, it can read your contacts and add facts when you ask it to, under its provider's privacy policy.

NetworkNerd's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We don't use Google user data to train AI models.

We only retain collected information for as long as necessary to provide you with NetworkNerd's services. What data we store, we protect with encryption in transit and at rest. We use commercially acceptable means to prevent loss and theft, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification.

Our app may link to external sites that are not operated by us. Please be aware that we have no control over the content and practices of these sites, and cannot accept responsibility or liability for their respective privacy policies.

You are free to refuse our request for your personal information, with the understanding that we may be unable to provide you with some of your desired services. Your continued use of our app will be regarded as acceptance of our practices around privacy and personal information.
